The focus verse is situated in the context of the story of the children of Israel in the wilderness (Numbers 13-14), after the 12 spies had gone to spy out the Promised Land, the whole nation was on the verge of mutiny against God (if that were possible), because of the evil, discouraging report brought by ten of them.
Caleb, credited with the words of the focus verse, wanted to calm the people down, and refocus them to the Lord, to the one who is their advantage.
